Has the U.S. Just Chosen Saudi Arabia Over Israel?

Has the U.S. Just Chosen Saudi Arabia Over Israel?

That’s the big question today. And it’s not just about politics—it’s about where we stand as a nation in God’s eyes. As Christians, we believe Scripture supports standing with Israel, but this recent shift in U.S. policy raises serious concerns. What does it mean when America strengthens ties with Saudi Arabia, a Muslim nation that doesn’t even recognize Israel’s right to exist? And how should we respond as believers living in these prophetic times?

What’s Happening?

On May 13, 2025, the U.S. government finalized a massive $142 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia—the largest defense sales agreement in U.S. history. Even more concerning, this deal is part of a broader $600 billion investment package between the two countries.

This isn’t just about selling a few military trucks—this includes advanced war equipment like Patriot missile systems, cutting-edge radar technology, and even discussions about selling Saudi Arabia the powerful F-35 fighter jets, aircraft that until now have been reserved for America’s closest allies like Israel.

During this same time, President Trump visited Saudi Arabia but did not visit Israel, focusing instead on building stronger relationships with the oil-rich Gulf states. This is a clear sign that America is pursuing economic and political gain with Saudi Arabia, even if it means placing Israel’s security at risk.

This deal wasn’t something that happened on a whim or in a last-minute negotiation. It was sealed before Air Force One’s wheels even touched the runway. The agreements had been carefully crafted and planned behind closed doors for quite some time. And the details around the visit make that obvious.

For one, the plane descended on a carpet of royal symbolism—the steps were draped in purple, not the traditional red. Everyone wore purple ties. Purple is the color of royalty, power, and wealth, historically reserved for kings and rulers. This wasn’t just a state visit—it was a display of influence and dominance. And while the headlines focused on how honored President Trump was, how loved he appeared to be, and how the Saudi leadership “rolled out the red carpet,” the truth behind it all is far more revealing.

This moment wasn’t really about Trump at all. It was about the power behind him, the influence he carried, the doors he could open, and the unchecked greed that drove it all. The Saudis weren’t honoring a man; they were honoring what he could give them—massive military power and strategic dominance in the region. And let’s be honest—Trump’s ambition and Saudi Arabia’s hunger for control fit together perfectly.

  • Trump got what he wanted: money and global significance.

  • Saudi Arabia got what it wanted: unmatched military strength and the favor of the most powerful nation in the world.

And in the middle of it all, no one cared about America. No one cared about the long-term security risks, the spiritual compromise, or how this would affect Israel. This wasn’t about loyalty or righteousness—it was about the highest bidder.

Red cap with gold dollar sign emblem rests on reflective surface amidst blurred red and green foliage, conveying a bold, flashy mood.

They say everyone has a price—the moment when even the strongest will bow. Did Saudi Arabia find Trump’s price? And not just his—but the price of every politician, advisor, and corporate leader who walked off that plane with him?

At what point does this backfire? How long before the very weapons we sold for insane amounts of money are turned against us or our allies?

This wasn’t just a financial transaction. It was the selling of influence, the selling of America’s loyalty, and in a very real sense, the selling out of the people who make up America’s soul.

And remember, America wasn’t for sale… until it was. Let's hope and pray to be wrong.

What Does This Mean for U.S.–Israel Relations?

For decades, the United States stood firmly as Israel’s closest ally, offering military support, political backing, and financial aid. But now, with the U.S. pouring billions of dollars into Saudi Arabia’s military and even discussing the sale of advanced F-35 fighter jets, it’s clear that economic interests in oil-rich nations are taking priority over loyalty to Israel.

This dramatic shift signals that America’s foreign policy is becoming increasingly transactional, driven more by profits and power than by standing for biblical values and righteousness.

This change comes at a dangerous time for Israel. Surrounded by hostile enemies like Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, Israel relies heavily on its military edge to maintain security in the region. If Saudi Arabia obtains the same cutting-edge weaponry, Israel’s advantage will be weakened, leaving it more vulnerable than ever before. The threats against Israel aren’t hypothetical—they’re immediate and real, and this shift in U.S. priorities could have devastating consequences.

Revelation 17:4-5 (CSB):
“The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, jewels, and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand filled with everything detestable and with the impurities of her prostitution. On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: Babylon the Great, the mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”

The Prophetic Shift: Is America Becoming Babylon the Great?

From a prophetic standpoint, this all aligns with what the Bible says will happen in the last days. Nations will abandon righteousness and pursue their own interests, forging economic alliances and power deals that have nothing to do with truth or justice.

Revelation 18 describes the fall of “Babylon the Great,” a wealthy and corrupt world system obsessed with trade, luxury, and self-indulgence. It is a system that has turned its back on God and worships power and wealth instead.

Many believers have asked the question: Is the United States modern-day Babylon? While the Bible doesn’t name America directly, the parallels are hard to ignore. America leads the world in wealth, global trade, and military power, and now it is deeply involved in the very kinds of economic and political behaviors that Revelation 18:3 describes:

“For all the nations have drunk the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality; the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”

Historically, Babylon wasn’t only a symbol of wealth and power—it was the center of global influence, known for its deep moral decay, spiritual compromise, and dominance over world economies. It set the cultural tone for the nations around it, promoting values and practices that stood in direct opposition to God’s commands.

This is why Babylon is used in Scripture as a lasting symbol of a corrupt world system. In much the same way today, America has become a modern cultural empire. It doesn’t just export products; it exports values, entertainment, and ideologies that often oppose the very foundation of God’s Word. From media to politics, from financial markets to social movements, America shapes the thinking and behavior of the world—just as ancient Babylon once did. And like Babylon, this influence is rooted in pride, self-exaltation, and a rejection of God’s authority.

Instead of standing boldly for Israel and biblical values, America is selling its influence for financial gain, aligning itself with nations that oppose God’s covenant people. And just as the Bible warns in Joel 3:2, God will one day judge the nations for how they treated Israel:

“I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. I will enter into judgment with them there concerning My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they scattered among the nations; they divided up My land.”

The U.S. is at a spiritual and political crossroads, and its choices in these critical moments could have lasting consequences—not just for foreign relations, but for its standing before God.

Where Does the U.S. and Israel Stand Now? A Changing Alliance

America, remember—those who bless Israel are blessed, and those who forget her, fall.

The truth is—we don’t fully know where this relationship stands anymore. For decades, America’s support for Israel seemed unshakable, but recent events show signs of change. While President Trump was once a strong and vocal supporter of Israel, his most recent Middle East tour completely bypassed Israel, focusing instead on building massive economic partnerships with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states.

Trump openly encouraged Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, but his priority seemed to be securing business deals, not standing firmly alongside Israel. Behind the scenes, tensions between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu have reportedly grown, largely over Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza. Trump’s growing frustration with the prolonged conflict, along with quiet backchannel talks with Iran, only adds to the uncertainty about where America’s loyalty truly lies.

What we did know was that America had always been Israel’s strongest ally, standing together through wars, peace talks, and political challenges. But now, with this new and powerful alliance forming between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, the foundation of that relationship appears to be shifting.

The Bible warns that in the last days, nations will pursue their own gain rather than stand for what’s right. 2 Timothy 3:2 reminds us that people will become

“lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud…”

—and we see this playing out on the world stage today. America’s foreign policy seems more transactional than ever, favoring economic gain over long-standing moral and spiritual commitments.

For Israel, this sends a clear message: it may need to strengthen its global position and prepare for a time when American support is no longer guaranteed. And for Christians, it’s a wake-up call to remember that while political alliances may shift, God’s covenant with Israel remains unshaken.

As Psalm 121:4 reminds us:

“Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

Are You Watching or Sleeping?

We are watching prophecy unfold in real time. While the world’s leaders chase money, power, and control, God’s Word remains true—unchanged and unfolding just as He said it would.

Red cap with gold "MAGA" text and dollar sign tag, surrounded by gold dollar symbols on a reflective dark surface.
Everything has a price… even loyalty.

And yet, many still sleep. The man wearing the famous red MAGA hat, who once claimed to fight for “the forgotten people” of America, now seems far more focused on what fills the pockets of the powerful than on what truly benefits everyday Americans. The promises to protect jobs and restore dignity to the American worker have been quietly replaced by record-breaking arms deals, backroom political arrangements, and economic policies that serve the wealthy elite.

At the same time, technology companies are rapidly taking over the workforce, pushing artificial intelligence and robotics into jobs once held by hard-working men and women. Robots now clean homes, answer phones, staff warehouses, and even handle sensitive customer service roles. Factories once bustling with life now sit silent, their production lines manned by machines instead of people.

It forces us to ask the hard question: In the eyes of world leaders and corporate giants, are people even needed anymore? Or are we simply seen as consumers in their system—good for spending money, but inconvenient when it comes to real influence and purpose?

While the world moves toward this cold and calculated future, God’s Word calls out:

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” —Ephesians 5:14

The truth is, the world doesn’t need another political movement—it needs a spiritual awakening. It’s time to open our eyes, recognize the signs, and stop living as if this world is our final home.

Wake up. Repent. And live for God every second of every day.

As the world races toward its own destruction, God is still calling His people to stand apart.

Revelation 18:4:“Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or receive any of her plagues.”
2 Corinthians 6:17:“Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.”

Now is not the time to blend in with a fallen world system that worships wealth, power, and self. Now is the time to wake up, repent, and live every second for the glory of God. Don’t wait until the system collapses to realize you’ve been standing in the wrong place.

Come out. Be separate. Stand for righteousness. And live every day as if Jesus could return at any moment—because He will. Because no political party will save us. No leader can offer the hope our souls are crying out for.

Only Jesus Christ can. And His return is closer than ever.

Are you ready?
